Are you a health professional looking to deepen your understanding of lipoedema and enhance patient care? Join us for an informative and engaging webinar designed specifically for healthcare providers.
In recognition of Lipoedema Awareness Month, we invite you to explore the complexities of this chronic and painful disorder. Lipoedema, often misdiagnosed as lymphoedema or obesity, predominantly affects women and remains relatively unknown despite impacting an estimated 11% of women worldwide. Characterized by disproportionate fat accumulation in the legs and arms, and occasionally other body areas, lipoedema typically worsens during hormonal changes and is resistant to traditional lifestyle interventions. Although progressive and incurable, various management strategies, including conservative treatments and, in some cases, surgery, can significantly alleviate symptoms.
